Today is the first day of Summer holiday at Doshisha. Unfortunately, I’ve to go to the campus for 2 reasons; Support Staff for Disabled Students meeting, and Clover Festival Meeting and Party. I am sitting in the train right now waiting for home while writing this post.
What I saw when I arrived in Campus was a view where not quite lots of people were playing in the field, sitting in the library. I mean, it’s summer holiday and lots of them are still going to campus, either for club activity or self studying.
Their number of course less than half of the usual days, but for me, that is a lot. Some people might say: “Who wants to climb the mountain under the sun in the middle of summer just for club activities?” “I would better reading manga or watching anime at home while turning on the AC.”
I was thinking ‘who are these people whom coming to the campus in these days. Are they those who live around the campus and have nothing to do?’ But as I thought about it several times, it is a good thing to go to campus even though there is no class. Free AC, books on the library, social interactions and etc. Studying for the next semester at the library might also a good idea, isn’t it?
When the night has come, I depart from campus go home at 8:30. As I walk down from the Cafeteria to the station, I passed though the library. The light inside the library was still bright. In the front of the library, some students who joined ‘Double Dutch’ club were still rehersal for show. I stared them from a far and saw their performance. It was really cool.
Inside the library itself, I saw some students sitting near the window in the second floor studying hard. I was imagining if I’ve moved in to the apartment near the campus, my life more or less will be look like this.
And just before I leave the a main gate, I saw lots of little stars above the night sky. It has been a long time that I’ve never seen a star so beautiful like this.
Ah, ok.. I am in Tsuruhashi right now, means that I’ll arrive home in less that 8 minutes.. That’s enough for today. See ya..
